2001

Following the great results from the two last seasons, the year 2001 will see the team win two trophies, two Shimizu didn't have yet : the Japanese Super Cup, before the championship started (3-0 against the Kashima Antlers) and the Emperor's Cup (3-2 against Cerezo Osaka). A fourth place in the J.League and a third place in the Asian Cup Winner's Cup completed an overall satisfying season.

The camo design is used again, for the third season in a row. The only change is the added white outline on the Japan Airlines sponsor.

TRIVIA

-No rain no gain : Back then, football fashion included shiny patterns in the fabric. From 1999 to 2001, the S-Pulse camo uniforms included a "rain" pattern in the fabric.
